How long do the treats last, and how should I store them?
Our dehydrated treats when unopened in the vacuum-sealed packaging have a long shelf life of up to 2 months. We would recommend storing in a cool, dry place (before opening). We recommend using an airtight container to maintain freshness, or put in freezer or fridge after opening. Most treats can last 3-4 months when placed in the freezer. Do handle the treats with clean, dry hands and check for visible mold before giving it to your dog.
Can I return or exchange treats if my dog doesn’t like them?
We want your dog to be happy! If there’s an issue with the product, we’ll work with you to find a solution, whether that’s an exchange or another arrangement. However, due to the nature of our treats, we typically don’t accept returns unless there is a quality concern.
Can I buy your treats in bulk?
Yes! We offer bulk orders for special occasions, gifts, or pet parties. Please contact us directly to discuss pricing and customization options.
Our Story
Hi there! Thank you for wanting to know us better!
This is Yeesin, let me introduce ourselves, our brand, and our values!
At Paws and Rest, everything we do stems from our deep love for dogs and the desire to create a safe, happy space for them. Our journey started 5 years ago when Justin and I met while volunteering at a shelter.
After graduation, like many, I felt the pressure to follow societal norms and took on 2 different jobs. While I did okay in them, none of them felt quite right. I didn’t experience the warmth and fulfillment I was looking for. I knew I needed to follow my passion—working with dogs!
Justin (the other founder) has been extremely important in our journey. When I see him work with dogs, I could see the fire in him. Whether it was the routine, everyday care or handling aggressive dogs in tense situations, Justin’s calmness and gentleness always shined through. It amazes me how such a tall, dark, and imposing figure can be so soft and gentle with the dogs. That’s when I knew I had found the right partner, both in business and in our shared passion for dogs.
The illustration above was specially requested by me. (It was supposed to be a t-shirt design but it became an icon for Paws and Rest) These two dogs in particular hold a special place in our hearts—Justin's beloved late dog, Brandy, the white shih tzu, who inspires our brand's warmth! Not to forget Easter, a rescue who captured my heart in the shelter!
BTW, Easter is up for adoption! :)
In late 2023, we officially started our boarding and treat business, but the story really began with looking after Maia, an adopted dog in 2022. We first looked after Maia, her fostered sibling Jalen and her cat friend Valarie for a family, and that house-sitting job made us fall in love with caring for dogs in a personal, dedicated way. Maia, Jalen and Valarie became such a big part of our lives, and it was clear this was what we were meant to do.
(Jalen on the left, Maia on the right... Valarie...hiding :) )
As for our treats, they came from a desire to ensure our furry friends get nothing but the best. We wanted to know exactly what went into the treats, ensuring no nasties or hidden ingredients. Now, we proudly hand-make our treats with high-quality ingredients we source ourselves, so you, as pawrents, can feel confident about what your dogs are enjoying!
Through this journey, we’ve learned and grown, constantly improving our services and products to better care for your dogs. We are incredibly thankful for all the trust and support you’ve shown us along the way—it’s because of you that we can continue doing what we love.
